Festival of the Arts

I love spring time in Oklahoma. I love the blooming flowers and trees. I love the warm weather. I love the thunderstorms. And I love the Festival of the Arts.

Yesterday was opening day of the festival and boyfriend and I managed to squeeze in about an hour of time to grab some dinner. Fish tacos for me, indian taco for him.  If you all are in the area, please don't miss this awesome event. And while you're there, stop by the booth of Eighty Acres Art and check out the fun clocks and meet the artist. We were hovering around her booth at closing time last night, and she already asked me (in person) to be friends with her on Facebook. I feel instantly cooler already.

..grace..
-Saving up to buy some new art AND boyfriend getting excited about purchasing something for himself as well.
-Sabi on Western Avenue. Loves it. Say 'hi' to M.A. while you're there!
-Alstroemeria in shades of yellow and gold.
-New Moleskine notebooks. I think I'm slightly obsessed.
-Frightened Rabbit. How awesome is their music??

I was in Wayne Coyne's house this weekend....

...and it was freakin' awesome!

Go here to see some pics from the architects website. We weren't allowed to take pics of our own.

I was punked by Mizzle.

Boyfriend spent the past weekend up at his lake house with his family for Easter. So on Saturday morning, I had my coffee and sent him a text message. We had a mini conversation. This is how it went.

Me: What r u doing?
Boyfriend: Reading a triathalon magazine. What r u doing (insert an iphone emoji of an ice cream cone)

Me: Triathalon magazine? You gonna do one?? I'm just hanging with Rose. Trying to decide what to do with my day. (insert iphone emoji of a ghost.)

Boyfriend: Go shopping! Yes will u do a triathalon w me?

Me: Are u encouraging me to shop?? Well fine if u say so...   I'll only do a triathalon if Rosie can do it with me Haha  (insert emoji french fries)

Boyfriend: Cool. We will all do one together as one big happy family. Shop til u drop babe

End of conversation.

This was not boyfriend I was texting with. This was his sister, Mizzle. Of course, I didn't know that until much later in the day. I mean, the signs were there. Boyfriend doesn't read triathalon magazines. He doesn't use random emojis. He doesn't encourage me to shop. And he most certainly would never say "we will all do one together as one big happy family."

Well played, T-pot. Well played.
